Aromatherapy

Using specifically chosen premium quality essential oils and carrier oils blended to use in massage.

The power of touch, one of the earliest senses to develop, part of an immensely powerful feedback system. Touch is fundamental to our wellbeing, helping to calm and relax the body, triggering the release of the hormone, Oxytocin, which helps to reduce levels of the stress hormone, Cortisol. This in turn can help boost the immune system and reduce inflammation within the body, helping to protect the body against illness.

Massage will improve the circulation and lymphatic drainage. It is encouraged to allow some time after the treatment to take it easy and maximise the benefit of the session. It is important to drink lots of water after the treatment.

Aromatherapy treatment takes place following a detailed consultation.

  • Relax and switch off with a full body massage. A blend of essential oils and carrier oils chosen specifically for you, taking into account your needs at the time. Pressure adjusted to suit you. The focus is on relaxation, allowing you time to switch off, to bring you back into your body. Massaging the back, legs, feet, arms, hands, shoulders and scalp.

Please discuss if you would like an abdominal massage included.

  • Using specifically chosen essential oils and focusing on the back neck and shoulders. Pressure is adjusted according to need and circumstance. Massage of the surface muscles will encourage tension release, deeper pressure can be used to work on more troublesome areas. The optional addition of some foot massage complements the treatment very effectively, helping to ground the energy and offer further relaxation.

  • Allowing time for a more luxurious, indulgent full body massage using a blend of essential oils and carrier oils chosen specifically for you, taking into account your needs at the time. The pressure used is adjusted to suit you. The use of slow repetitive massage further encourages deep relaxation, encouraging you to switch off, breath deeply and bring you back into your body. The extra time allows for extra attention to the massage of the feet, face and scalp.

  • For when time or budget is tight. This could be an Indian Head massage, performed through clothing, whilst seated on a chair - concentrating on the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck and scalp (the addition of oil to the hair is optional) or, with oil, a 30 minute massage on the couch relieving tension in the neck and shoulders. Or maybe take the opportunity to have a specific 30 minute abdominal massage, which can really help with a sluggish digestive system and assist with lymphatic drainage. Your time, you choose.
